Jinny Green Teeth, a local witch or perhaps a wise woman, is supposed to guard it. This area used to be a cemetery but in the industrial Revolution a Cotton Mill was built in the village. Later the cemetery was buried under the tarmac of a car park for the mill, where the dead still remain.The mill is now defunct
