Female Bald eagle lands on a nearby branch after returning from a circuit , and balances on the same branch as the male. Nest is located in a large cottonwood beside Illinois Route 143 outside Alton Illinois. Nest is very close to the Mississippi River at Lock and Dam 26, which the Eagles use as a prime fishing area.
