Restored Assembly Room, Independence Hall, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, one of the meeting places of the Second Continental Congress, where the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were also debated, adopted, and signed. Future Presidents Washington, John Adams, Jefferson, Madison, and Monroe helped found the Nation in this room.
