Pegasus is a mythical white winged horse in Greek mythology. He was said to be the offspring of Poseidon, the god of the sea, and Medusa, a gorgon with serpents for hair. Pegasus was a symbol of strength and courage, and he was said to be capable of powerful flight. He is often depicted as a noble steed, capable of taking gods and heroes to incredible heights. In some versions of the myth, Pegasus was also the bringer of victory and herald of good news. He was said to have unleashed a very powerful spring at Mount Helicon, giving birth to the Muses.
