hudoq in samarendah park samarinda #272154290
Description
One of the Dayak dances that is thick with mystical nuances is the Hudoq dance. An art form that is a form of thanksgiving for the abundant harvest. Hudoq is an art of the East Kalimantan Dayak tribe. Hudoq dance has its own characteristics and uniqueness. Its main attraction lies in the use of masks with carvings and dayak tribal color patterns, and using the dancer's body using clothing made of green leaves. With all the uniqueness that is its attraction, this dayak dance must always be preserved. In events in Samarinda, and I made a work set in Samarendah Park, a park in the center of Samarinda City, the word samarendah comes from the mention of the previous people, Samarendah park is also an icon of Samarinda, and a place where Samarinda residents exercise or relax. Although when it was made there were pros and cons, but Samarinda residents can now enjoy being in the Samarendah Park. But I still don't agree that there is a horse statue there, but so be it, it's out of our hands. Perhaps the intention was to make the horse statue different. haha
