Rufford Old Hall, Lancashire Stock Image

Building on this historic site, started in 1530 for the Hesketh family who were lords of the manor. The construction of this Jacobean brick wing, which has the entrance, was began in 1661. A young William Shakespeare was reputed to have performed here, before he became famous. The hall is haunted, by a grey lady, TV crews have filmed here for paranormal events in 2010.
