Ghent, Belgium, 2023. The Book Tower is a modernist marvel and landmark by the Belgian architect Henry van de Velde. After years of neglect and then years of restoration the tower is now restored to its former glory. The general public is mostly kept away and can only visit the topfloor or Belvedère with an (often expensive) guide. Events such as the free visit on every last monday of the month are often fully booked well in advance.
