Description
Against a cloudy sky sits a sun drenched silhouette of the tail wings of an MD-80 Jet. To control and maneuver the aircraft, smaller wings are located at the tail of the plane. The tail usually has a fixed horizontal piece, called the horizontal stabilizer, elevator and a fixed vertical piece, called the vertical stabilizer. This particular MD-80 is located at the Tulsa Air and Space Museum.
