Description
In 2012 I took a road trip across the wide open spaces of the State of Texas with my family. As we were in search of the famous Texas bluebonnets and other spring wildflowers, we avoided the well travelled interstates and kept to the smaller back country roads and we were not disappointed. That year's early warm weather and a little bit of rain produced a vibrant and picturesque wildflower season, especially along the roadsides and fields of the Hill Country. This image was captured along windy Texas Highway 29 around Llano and Burnet in the northern part of Hill Country. The bluebonnets scattered in the field and the low perspective of the old wooden fence stretching into the distance combine to make the perfect rustic scene.
