Nestlings on the way #277983640
Description
These young are called fledglings. They hatch from their eggs with their eyes open. A blanket of down immediately grows on their skin. Nestlings sometimes scrape together their own food within a day. Young ducks and geese are good examples of fledglings. Although the parents of fledglings do not feed their young, they often provide protection from predators and warmth.
