Pedestrian Tunnels and Bridges Golden Gate Park 12 #278964578
Description
When Golden Gate Park opened in 1870,the horseless carriage was already on the roads for about seventy years, but most people still felt safer in the old horse and buggy. To accompany the buggies, special pedestrian tunnels were built, with bridges overhead for either type of buggy,so park visitors could more safely get to,and enjoy, the attraction of the park. Although of a strictly utilitarian purpose, they can still be very beautiful. As enjoyed 7 May 2023.
