Countryside Scenery of Regöly in the Summer #280102892
Description
Due to the favourable geographical position of Regöly and its surroundings, it has been continuously inhabited since the Neolithic Age. Not all prehistoric sites have been excavated. Among the few excavations, the so-called willow site belonging to the Neolithic and Kisapostagi culture stands out, where several tombs and pits from the Bronze Age were excavated, with rich annexes by archaeologist István Torma. In the late Bronze Age, about 3000 years ago, the Sáncz already stood and survived in its outlines to this day. Its characteristic feature is that, adapting to the surface conditions of its environment, it was built not on a hilltop, but on a hill.
