Description
The Sulina branch (also called the Sulina Canal) is the shortest and straightest branch of the Danube Delta, formed by the branching of the Tulcea branch, east of the city of Tulcea, into two branches: the Sulina branch (to the north) and the Sfântu Gheorghe branch (to the south) . It flows into the Black Sea near the town of Sulina. It has an approximate length of 71 km. It is regularized and channelized, allowing the navigation of sea vessels with a draft of up to 7 m.
