Description
Pictured is the Main altar with the Crucifixion of Christ in Church of San Rocco in Pitigliano, Italy. The frescos are very worn. It is the oldest church in Pitigliano, dating back to somewhere between the 12th or 13th century. It was then rebuilt by a famous architect known as Giovanni da Traù il Dalmata at the behest of Nicholas III Orsini in the late 15th century. The facade is late Renaissance, decorated at the bottom by four Corinthian pilasters and a portal.
