The large Canada goose is a goose native to North America and Canada. The species can be found regularly in the Netherlands they are usually once escaped aviary and park birds. Since the 1975s, the large Canada goose can be found as a breeding bird in the Netherlands. The species often crosses with barnacle geese and small Canada geese. As a result, all kinds of mixed forms can be found, which sometimes make recognition a bit more difficult.
