English actress Glenda Jackson arrives in the press room to receive her Tony at the 72nd Annual Tony Awards held at Radio City Music Hall in New York City on June 10, 2018. Jackson, an Oscar winning film actress and a former British Party Labour Party Member of Parliament, would later delight in taking home her first Broadway Tony Award for her stellar work as the lead in a revival of `Edward Albee`s Three Tall Women.` In her 48-year acting career she garnered many awards including 2 Academy Awards for 'Women In Love' (1970 and 'A Touch of Class' (1973). She won 2 Primetime Emmys (1972) and a BAFTA for 'Sunday, Bloody Sunday' (1971). She was a political activist, a socialist, and a Member of Parliament from 1992-2015 representing the Labour Party. Jackson died in her home in Blackheath, London, after a short illness, on June 15, 2023. She was 87.
