Description
The water tower imitating the form of the Temple of Vesta in Tivoli is an example of historicizing architecture from the mid-19th century.nineteenth century drawing patterns from antiquity. It was picturesquely integrated into the landscape of the park formed from parts of the 18th-century palace and urban complex of the Saxon Axis. At the same time, the building is a material testimony to the first modern Warsaw water supply system, designed by the Italian architect and engineer Henryk Marconi.HistoryThe building was erected in the years 1852-54 in the Saxon Garden, transformed from a baroque layout into a landscape park. Its designer, Henryk Marconi, a leading Warsaw architect, was the creator of many buildings in the Garden and its vicinity
