Looking down onto the Dent Head rail Viaduct. Dentdale, Cumbria, England. #282289770
Description
An ominous grey cloudy day, sees the sun break through and shine down onto the Dent head viaduct and the rolling hills of the surrounding countryside. Built of Dent marble between 1869 and 1875 for the Midland Railway Company it is part of the Settle to Carlisle line. The viaduct crosses the quarry from where the materials for the viaduct were unearthed and an old runied cowhouse can be seen in the foreground.
