Varujan Vosganian (born July 25, 1958, Craiova) is an romanian economist, politician and writer. The president of the Armenians in Romania since its establishment in 1990 and vice president of the Writers Union of Romania since 2005. In 1990, joins the Provisional Council of National Unity (PNUC). In the same year, founded the Union of Armenians of Romania, whose president is today. Was the Armenian minority in Parliament as an MP in two legislatures (1990-1992 and 1992-1996), acting as such functions as leader of the Parliamentary Group of National Minorities (October 1992 - December 1995), member of National Minorities (the 1993), member of the economic Commission, the Commission for human Rights, Cults and national minorities (1990-1992), member of the Committee for economic policy, reform and privatization and the special Commission for approval of the bills concerning national minorities and autonomous communities (1992-1996).
