Colorful Christmas lights brighten up a small boat harbor at sunset on Newport Bay, in front of the historic Balboa Pavilion, a landmark on the Balboa Peninsula, in Newport Beach California, a seaside community on the Pacific Ocean, know for the rich and famous. The Balboa Pavilion is one of California's last surviving examples of waterfront recreational pavilions from the turn of the century.
