Description
One of the many mammals living in the Bia?owie?a Forest is the moose (Alces alces). It is the largest representative of the deer family, not only in Poland, but also in the world. The body weight of an adult bull (i.e. a male) in our country reaches 400 kg, although the largest moose from Alaska can weigh up to 600 kg. These animals have characteristic antlers, which take the form of shovels or less impressive half-shovels and stalks.
