A village lane leads to the 15th Century Marmion Tower, with it's Oriel window at West Tanfield, North Yorkshire. The tower was built as a gatehouse to the Manor, which no longer remains. To the right is St Nicholas church with Red Valerian (Centranthus ruber) growing from it's walls.
