Grapes in July at Napa Valley Wine Country of United States #284760858
Description
While Napa Valley is mostly known for its prodigious Cabernet Sauvignon production, growing conditions are favorable for a wide range of grapes, from warm-weather varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Sauvignon Blanc to cool-weather ones like Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.By late July, grapes in Napa vineyards undergo an important change known as âveraison,â a French term for the natural transition from growing to ripening. The grapes at this stage have nearly reached their mature size and are beginning to turn from green to red.
