Description
The oak processionary caterpillar (Thaumetopoea processionea) is a leaf-eating caterpillar of the oak tree moth. The caterpillar nests in nearby oak trees, especially on the sunny side of oak trunks. The nests consist of caterpillars, stinging hairs and excrement.
