The historical Grub Castle on the opposite side of Hallstatter Lake, overlooking Hallstatt town. Upper Austria, Europe #285382866
Description
Grub Castle is located on the eastern shore of Lake Hallstatt near Obertraun in the Salzkammergut in Upper Austria in the Gmunden district of Upper Austria. The castle is a hook-shaped building with three round towers and a square tower, which was placed in the corner so that it creates a connection between the castle building and the chapel. The round towers have conical roofs, the square tower has a pyramid roof. The towers are relatively recent construction additions. The castle has a pitched roof with raised pitched roofs with plaster frieze on the sides. In general, the castle looks like a villa, which also corresponds to its previous use.
