Description
Kostyanika is a small perennial herbaceous plant up to 30 cm tall with long shoots spread out on the ground up to 1.5 m long, taking root by autumn.The stem is straight with stiff fibers.The leaves are threefold, rough, with stiff hairs, on long petioles. Stipules are free, ovate-lanceolate.The flowers are white, small, bisexual, collected at the top of the stem 3-10 in corymbose or umbellate inflorescences. Blooms in May â June.The fruit is a relatively large combined drupe of bright red or orangeâred color, usually consists of from one to five fruits, inside each there is a large bone. The berries are juicy, sour. The fruits ripen in July â August.
