Imperia Statue Stock Photo

Built in 1993, this statue, located at the harbor entrance of Konstanz, Germany, pays satirical homage to 15th century European religious and political morals. Imperia holds in her seductress hands Pope Martin V and Emperor Sigismund - both in power in the early 15th century. She has them both, literally, in the palm of her hand.
