A lot of cities around the world have a Flat Iron building,or two,including San Francisco,but these tend to be commercial or business office building in the downtown business district parts of the cities. But San Francisco is very unique as being one of the hilliest cities in the world,the roads here can not be laid out in grid patters like in flat areas but need to follow the natural contour of these hills. The problem then becomes,these roads are not at perfect right angles,but more triangular shaped. These parts of the city are more suited to residential than commercial,so you get homes and condos with a more Flat Iron shape to them. As seen 22 August 2023.
