The African Land Snail is one of the largest land gastropods with a shell that can grow up to 8 inches. This one was located in Thailand where they are called Hoi Tak meaning slug with shell. They are considered a hot commodity in southeast Asia as they are eaten as a delicacy and the slime they produce is high in collagen and used for face serums and moisturizers.
