Monument To St. John Of Nepomuk In Ostrów Tumski Stock Photo

The monument was made in the years 1730–1732 at the request of the Wroc?aw cathedral chapter. The designer was Christoph Tausch and the authors were Urba?ski together with Johann Albrecht Siegwitz and Johann Adam Karinger. It was placed on Ko?cielny Square, in front of the Collegiate Church of St. Cross and the Orphanotropheum Catholic Orphanage, Ostrów Tumski in Wroc?aw. According to the chronicle, the monument was unveiled in May 1732 and cost 2,049 florins. It is the world's largest statue of John of Nepomuk.
