This plant can grow up to 6 meters high, although it is usually only 3 meters high in yards for aesthetic reasons. Like other palms, the leaves are compound, pinnate. The color of the leaves is bright green, tends to yellow & x28;so it is called a yellow palm& x29;. These leaves have leaf sheaths that are quite long and cover the segmented stems.
