Alex Nieto memorial Bernal Heights Hill San Francisco 2 #288999834
Description
Alex Nieto was a San Francisco native, born and raised in the Bernal Heights neighborhood to Mexican immigrant parents. After graduating from San Francisco Community College in Criminal Justice,he obtained a state license for a security guard, and had a job as a local bouncer, keeping rowdy people away. Because of his job,he carried a taser. One evening while quietly enjoying his dinner on Bernal Heights Hill, someones unleashed dog, smelling his food started chasing him, which got him all nervous. When another passerby later noticed Alex with his hand on a gun and called the police, the responding police shot and killed Alex. Because none of the responding police were ever charged, this symbolic grave was created as a memorial to Alex,on the fifth anniversary of his killing,22 March 2019. As sadly seen 30 August 2023.
