Red Eared Slider Turtle Submerged in Green Murky Water, except for its Head #289394904
Description
The red eared slider is a pond slider, a semi aquatic turtle, Trachemys scripta elegans. Identified by the red stripe where its ears are located, this turtle is mostly submerged in the green murky water with only its head sticking out. It is a popular pet for children and one of the United States most invasive turtles since, as they grow, parents may typically release them in a nearby pond, not realizing how they impact the ecosystem.
