Description
A weir or low-head dam is a barrier across the width of a river that alters the flow characteristics of water and usually results in a change in the height of the river level. Weirs are also used to control the flow of water for outlets of lakes, ponds, and reservoirs. Luce is the largest settlement and the centre of the Municipality of Luce in northern Slovenia. The city is located on the right side of the river Savinja, belongs to the traditional region of Styria and is now included in the Savinja Statistical Region. Luce is home to Snow Cave on Mount Raduha, which is the highest-elevation tourist cave in Slovenia.
