Description
A wigwam, wickiup, wikiup, wetu (Wampanoag), or wiigiwaam is a semi-permanent domed dwelling formerly used by certain Native American tribes and First Nations people and still used for ceremonial events. A wikiup is essentially a "teepeeâ style shelter made with forest debris. Many poles are fixed in the ground, in a circle and in the upper part are tied together giving the shape of a cone. Campsite, campground, and camping pitch are all related terms regarding a place used for camping - an overnight stay in an outdoor area. Little rustic logs and planks cabins at the edge of a forest on a field full of grass and flowers.
