Meerkats, live in groups of between 20 and 30 individuals in the wild. They live in underground burrows in groups are also called, mobs, clans, or gangs. They are very social animals and are very active during the day. Most of the pack members forage for food, meanwhile some of them will act as sentries, keeping a look out for danger.
