Description
Charles E Hinkel was a German immigrant to San Francisco in 1852 who was a residential house builder. Charles E was so good and influential at this home building,not only did his sons go into the business,so did his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Their homes are now still throughout the city,including this one on Divisidaro in the NOPA neighborhood of San Francisco,built by and for Charles Lewis Hinkel in 1885 for his own family home. Not only did he not spare any money on the detailing of the home,the lot size,50 ft by 137.5 ft was large for the area even at that time. This house is still a private residence,so please be respectful. As seen 17 September 2023.
