Rumah Gadang Is The Name For A Minangkabau Traditional House Royalty-Free Stock Image

This is a traditional house from West Sumatra, Indonesia. This house is also called by another name by the local community as the Bagonjong House or some also call it the Baanjuang House. This house has a unique architectural form with a pointed roof top shape that resembles buffalo horns and was previously made from palm fiber which can last for decades.The front of the Rumah Gadang is usually full of carved ornaments and the back outside is covered with bamboo sections. This traditional house is built from long poles and has a staircase located at the front. Each element of the Rumah Gadang has its own meaning.
