Pictured is a monumental bronze sculpture titled Wichita Wapiti by Jocelyn Lillpop Russell in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on the Tulsa River Trail. This elk is standing on a tall lopsided stone foundation about 5 feet tall. His body is facing downward, but his head is looking up. NatureWorks and gifted the sculpture to the City of Tulsa in 1999. NatureWorks is a nonprofit organization that aids in the development and conservation of wildlife preserves and introduces wildlife into new habitats. Every year since 1995 they have donated a monumental bronze wildlife sculpture to the City of Tulsa.
