Red tailed bird is a medium-sized tropical bird, with a white body and silky feathers, adorned with rose red during breeding. The eyes and the front and back of the eyes are black, forming a short and wide eye pattern. The primary feather shaft is black, and the inner secondary feather has a wider black central stripe and black feather shaft. The central two tail feathers are particularly long, red, with a black shaft. This red tailed turtle was photographed in Anakao, Madagascar.
