Description
The unibody Corvair Monza was introduced in 1960 to compete with the Volkswagen Beetle. Production continued until 1969. It was powered by a horizontally opposed, six cylinder, air cooled engine mounted in the rear. Transmissions offered were a three and four speed manual as well as a two speed Powerglide. Later models had the option of a turbocharger which produced 150HP. These engines were notorious for burning oil. The Corvair received notoreity for roll overs.
