Description
Chamonix-Mont-Blanc (or more commonly Chamonix) is a resort at the junction of France, Switzerland and Italy. Located at the foot of Mont Blanc, the highest peak in the Alps, it is famous for its ski slopes. All year round, cable cars transport visitors to the various surrounding peaks which offer exceptional panoramic views, such as the Aiguille du Midi above the city and Pointe Helbronner above the glaciers on the Italian border.
