Description
The Aosta Valley is a region in northwestern Italy bordered by France and Switzerland. Stretching across the Western Alps, it is famous for the iconic snow-capped peaks of the Matterhorn, Mont Blanc, Monte Rosa and Gran Paradiso. Among the main ski resorts, we can cite Courmayeur and Breuil-Cervinia. The interior is dotted with medieval fortresses and castles, such as the castle of Fénis and that of Verrès, both built in the 14th century.
