Description
When the Loma Prieta Earthquake struck the San Francisco Bay in 1989, there was quite a bit of damage, including the partial collapse of the Bay Bridge. Due to this collapse, the onramp that ran through Haves Valley ended up having to be removed, which opened up a lot of space. Patricia Walkup was one of the local people who pushed to turn the area into a local park, with a children playground. This park has been named in her honor. As enjoyed 21 August 2021.
