Alticane Trees In Golden Gate Park, 9 Royalty-Free Stock Image

Throughout Golden Gate Park are some exceptionally twisted and bent aspen trees that go totally unnoticed by most visitors. If you are lucky enough to see one, stop and look, and enjoy this special, rare sight. These trees are all from cuttings from the same one tree in Saskatchewan Canada, near the small community of Alticane , from which it is now named, with a special mutation that caused this unique twisting and bending. These trees can been seen around Strawberry Island in the center of Stow Lake in Golden Gate Park. As seen February 2022.
