Title
Gap in ridge line which forms Scotts Bluff #295742871
Description
Travelers followed the Oregon Trail along the North Platte river until the country was too rough for wagons and then turned south to pass between the cliffs of Scotts Bluff. This ridge line is the south ridge where the trail passes near the base of this rocky outcrop. Although the country is rough and broken by many eroded gullies, it was possible for wagons to pass through and then return to the trail along the river.
