Looking south from the pass at Scotts Bluff #296602549
Description
Ridge leading south from the pass in the morning haze caused by rainy mist and smoke from Canadian wildfires. Another pass can be seen several miles further south which was used a short time before the trail at Scotts Bluff was established. Sunlight splashes on part of the ridge as the clouds begin to break up. Endless grassy plains lead the way west. In the foreground can be seen a gully which is the actual Oregon Trail. Scrub cedar trees dot the prairie all along the trail.
