Pictured is a sculpture made from welded chrome bumpers titled Lupa Capitolina II by American Jason Seley in 1971 on display in the gardens of the Philbrook Museum of Art in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Seley was born in 1919 and died in 1983. Automobile bumpers became the basis for his work. Seley joined the faculty of Cornell University in 1968 as professor and chair of the Department of Art after teaching sculpture at Hofstra University and New York University.
