Description
Large spacious home built to be the Fort Laramie commanders home it was later split into residences for married officers, usually of higher rank. Each side of the building had a separate kitchen and formal living quarters downstairs and bedrooms upstairs. Structure was constructed of wood which was sawn at the Fort's sawmill. it was located along the southeast side of the rectangular parade ground. Haze from Canadian wildfires can be seen in the blue sky.
