Charyn Canyon in South East Kazakhstan. The Charyn Canyon National Park is part of Kazakhstan's Charyn National Nature Park, located 200 kilometers northeast of Almaty. The Charyn Canyon extends nearly 80 kilometers long and is over 30 to 100 meters deep. Due to its rock formations and colors similar to the Grand Canyon in Arizona, USA, but relatively small, it is called the second largest canyon in the world.
